Mars taken 5th February 2010

My second attempt at Mars before it starts to get even smaller and further away from us. I think this shows more detail than the last attempt and clearly shows the Syrtis Major feature (triangular shape!) Seeing or atmospheric conditions where very good on this occasion.
Taken with my normal setup:- Skywatcher 200mm reflector telescope with Tal x2 Barlow attached. Baadar zoom eyepiece at 8mm and canon 50d attached to this. the cameras liveview feathure is then used to take video via some russian software. The individual frames are then stacked in more software before being finally processed in photoshop.
