First Trip (010)

This is another image from my first trip. The sett is located on the edge of woodland with 90% in the trees and a small part coming under the boundary fence and into an open field to the east. I had chosen to shoot in the field because it offered less cluttered views of the badgers and due to the lack of tree cover, more light for longer, essential for photography. I may change my position and move into the trees because it has already become evident that the badgers are out and about on the other side of the sett much earlier and in greater numbers (you can tell by the odd fleeting glimpse and the noise!)
I will give this position one more go and then move positions for the next visit if it doesn't improve.
Two more points for you to consider if planning your own trip. Firstly don't be afriad to change your plan, however, this is probably best done on a subsequent visit not half way through a session. Secondly, the only thing predictable about badgers is there unpredictability! You may get frustrated but persevere.
