Brown Hare (Lepus europaeus)

Brown Hare (Lepus europaeus)
As you can see from this image, the hare has a mixture of frost and dew on his whiskers. After lying in a dark freezing field for a couple of hours so did the photographer, but well worth it. I have found that hares are very inquisitive creatures and on seeing something odd in their field will initially race over to take a better look. Usually, when around ten metres away they will realise that its a human and race away.
