About

A bit about myself. I've just reached the age of forty and have been taking photographs using Canon digital cameras for about six years. My main job as an Environmental Health professional with a local authority does mean I get to travel around the district and inevitably the gives me the opportunity to spy out potential photographic locations.

As with most wildlife photographers my passion is the wildlife around me and I often have to remind myself to press the shutter when getting caught up in a wildlife event. I often catch the most amazing shots only yards away from where dozens of people go about their daily lives with no knowledge of the parallel lives of the animals beyond the hedgerow!

Many of my pictures will be shot around my home county of Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas, although our main holidays tend to be taken in Scotland and I always hope to come back with compact flash cards bulging!

After many years of dabbling I have finally decided to take the plunge and get togethor some kit for taking astrophotography images. This is an expensive decision, but it does mean that if its not cloudy!! You can shoot quite happily from you back garden. Hopefully in the coming months I will expand this section of the site, although I am finding it a very steep learning curve! I have also updated my kit list.

If your interested here is a list of my current equipment.
